WHMIS for MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS

Did you know the law does not say how often your workers should be trained on WHMIS?  Employers are required to provide all workers with an understanding of the hazards they may be exposed to, and how to work safely in those situations.

Working at the speed of your business, this Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training provides managers and supervisors with the required knowledge to teach in house WHMIS training.

By attending this course, you will:

Gain knowledge of:

  • The basic concepts of WHMIS including its purpose, WHMIS visuals, and Material Safety Data Sheets
  • The legislation surrounding WHMIS, including training and documentation requirements

Have the skills to:

  • Evaluate the training needs of your workers, and learn how to evaluate understanding and application of the information you are teaching
  • Train your workers on the hazards that they could be exposed to, and how to work safely when in contact with those hazards

Complete the registration form and submit to SHSA.

Please note: Cancellations must be made not less than 10 days prior to the course date or the payments will be forfeited.
