Workplace Safety for Newcomers to Canada

Service Hospitality is excited to share their knowledge of workplace safety with the newcomers to Canada, who have chosen to settle in Saskatchewan.  This valuable information is helpful to newcomers as workplace safety laws and procedures can vary greatly from country to country.

Service Hospitality safety advisors share their knowledge with the newcomers through a 1-hour presentation. The presentation can be adjusted for every level of the Canadian Language Benchmark program.  The informative presentation consists of a variety of topics such as:

  • Worker’s Rights and Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety Committees

  • Different cultures views on workplace safety

  • Workplace Hazards

  • WHMIS

  • Ergonomics

  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Harassment and Bullying

  • Workplace Violence

  • First Aid

  • Fire Safety

Many Saskatchewan gateways and portals have invited Service Hospitality to present in their classrooms.  If you want to learn more about the presentation, please visit our website.  Or to book a presentation you can contact Service Hospitality by email.
