Cheers to a Green Year in 2024!
Service Hospitality’s Member Dashboard looks very positive as we work towards finishing 2024 off strong.
Seeing all the green at this point in the year means the projection (what we assume will happen) will be a decrease in total injury and time loss injury rates from last year. This is great news! A decrease in injuries combined with industry growth means this rate will continue to decrease.

As we enter the fall and winter seasons, additional hazards require protection for your workers. Some of these fall and winter dangers include:
- Potentially dangerous driving (snow, ice, extreme cold)
- Slips and falls from snow and ice build-up
- Cold exposure from working outdoors
- Holiday-related hazards, such as:
- overloaded electrical outlets from decorative lights
- tripping hazards from holiday décor and
- increase in worker stress and fatigue.
➡️To ensure your workplace is prepared for the fall and winter seasons, consider Service Hospitality’s Small Employer Safety Evaluation (self-directed) or, for a more comprehensive review, an Advisor-Led Safety Evaluation.
➡️Keeping safety top of mind can also help prevent injuries. Service Hospitality offers complimentary virtual training opportunities for you and your workers.
