At Service Hospitality, we believe great safety outcomes start with great safety leaders. That’s why each year we recognize a team member who goes above and beyond to model the practices we teach our members every day.
This year, we’re excited to celebrate Rachel Thatcher as our 2025 Safety Champion!
Rachel, has quickly become a standout safety leader, earning the highest number of peer nominations and consistently demonstrating the behaviours that build safer workplaces. She’s proactive in reporting near misses, sparks fresh ideas to support our members, and helps keep safety conversations alive and meaningful across our organization.
As a Safety Advisor and co-chair of our Occupational Health Committee, Rachel leads by example, encouraging openness, self-care, and practical, everyday safety habits. Her approach reflects the values we share with our members: awareness, preparedness, and a genuine care for people.
