Reflecting Forward: A Reset and 30 Years of Lighting the Way
Welcome 2026,
As I prepared for my first day back this year, I found myself reflecting on time – how the past shapes our present and quietly walks with us in all we do.
There was something deeply grounding in being with family over the holidays. What made it special wasn’t the food or the games, but the permission we gave each other to simply be. Allowing one another to show up as we are – fully ourselves. That space of acceptance is a gift I was given and one I have carried with me into the start of this year.
The holiday pause offered me the opportunity not for a resolution, but a reset. It was a chance to reflect on how I want to show up, what I want to handle differently, and which emotions I need to allow to pass through, rather than carry forward with me.
At Service Hospitality, this approach is at the heart of our mission. For 30 years, we’ve been guided by our purpose in Lighting the Way – supporting safer, healthier workplaces through relationships and trust. Our work is deeply human, and it is built entirely on collaboration and partnership.
In 2026 we celebrate our 30th anniversary. We are so proud of what we’ve built, and deeply grateful to you, our members. Quite simply, we would not be here without you.
Turning our reflections into momentum, we look forward to celebrating this milestone with you. Stop at our booth at upcoming events and save the date for our AGM on April 21st and our 30th Anniversary on September 22nd and be sure to take home a commemorative keepsake!
Thank you for your trust and your role in our membership community. As we begin this year, my hope is that we all allow ourselves a little grace, a thoughtful reset, and the space to show up as we are.
