WCB Launches Community Sponsorship Program
The Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) has announced its new Community Sponsorship Program, setting aside $20,000 to support community-based organizations across the province. Eligible organizations can receive sponsorships of $500 or $1,000, with recipients chosen randomly from the pool of applicants. Applications must be submitted by March 15 to be considered for March distributions.
The program supports initiatives in the following areas:
- Athletic groups connected to registered non-profit sports associations
- Community improvement
- Education and youth development
- Environmental sustainability
- Health and wellness
- Social services
