ANNOUNCING our 2024 Saskatchewan Polytechnic Hotel & Restaurant Management Program Scholarship Recipients!

At Service Hospitality, we firmly believe that safety begins with leadership. That’s why we’re committed to fostering the training and growth of skilled professionals in the industries we serve by providing knowledge of prioritizing workplace health and safety and recognizing safety leadership.

One aim is to support future leaders pursuing careers in Saskatchewan’s hotels and restaurants. This year, we awarded three scholarships to students enrolled in the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Hotel & Restaurant Management Program based on test results, classroom participation, and relationships with the program facilitators.

Please join us in congratulating our 2024 scholarship recipients: Anna Sabulsky, Taranpreet Kaur, and Bret Hotomanie!

Anna Sabulsky

Why did you choose hospitality?

“I didn’t originally choose to go into hospitality, but when I did, I realized it was the best path for me to help me pursue my life goal (travelling).”

What are your future goals post-graduation?

“My main goal after finishing this course is to travel and experience the world. As well spend more time with family.”

What will you do to promote Health & Safety in your future job?

“I will think twice about everything especially in regard to health and safety on the job. I will have open conversations with coworkers about safety at work and promote it in any way I can to work in a safer environment.”


Taranpreet Kaur

Why did you choose hospitality?

“I chose hospitality because I thrive on connecting with people and creating positive experiences that leave a lasting impression.”

What are your future goals post-graduation?

“After graduation, future goals might include pursuing a career in hotel management, event planning, food and beverage, tourism management, or further education.”

What will you do to promote Health & Safety in your future job?

“As it is well said that “Health is Wealth.” So, to prioritize health and safety, I will focus on strict sanitation, provide thorough proper safety training, and collaborate closely with health authorities.”


Bret Hotomanie

Why did you choose hospitality?

“Giving people what they need at the right time in the right place is a satisfying feeling for me. I enjoy helping people and I like to think I gravitate towards those people the most.”

What are your future goals post-graduation?

“My future goals post-graduation would be to keep gaining knowledge and experience in the field and to work alongside industry professionals. Hopefully further my education in whatever way that may be.”

What will you do to promote Health & Safety in your future job?

“I would share with my coworkers the importance of safety and give them the knowledge that I know of around health and safety. Encourage them to get educated about it if they’re not already.”
