Integrating Psychological Health & Safety into your Safety Management System

10:00 AM – 12:30 PM (CST)

Mental health in the workplace and psychological health and safety, in general, are new topics to many employers. But getting on top of these issues doesn’t necessarily mean creating an entirely new system. Learn how to add psychological health and safety elements in your existing Safety Management System.

Health and Safety Leadership

1 PM – 3:30 PM (CST)

As a safety leader in your organization, you are both responsible AND liable for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all workers. Your only personal protection is knowledge! If you have ever skipped steps to save time, cut the safety budget to invest more heavily elsewhere or put productivity above safety; you may have put yourself at risk!

Making your Committee Shine
OHC Level 1

10 AM – 12 PM (CST)

Your organization’s Occupational Health & Safety Committee is an integral part of your Safety Management System. The Committee not only helps review safety policies and procedures but they also play a key role in workplace inspections and incident investigations!

Workplace Inspections
OHC Level 2 Part 1

1 PM – 3:00 PM (CST)

How often does your organization conduct inspections and who conducts them? Effective health and safety inspections are one of the most important incident prevention tools in an organization’s health and safety program.

FREE Thursday Webinars:

Further to our HSLC training, we will be offering our safety webinar series, which will cater to all learning styles by including videos, lectures and chat participation on a wide variety of topics. We offer additional training resources outside of our HSLC program and will be presenting on these topics. Prevention is the key to reducing injuries, whether the injury occurs at home, school or in the workplace. These courses will cover topics on mental health, safety at home, school or in the workplace as well as feature special guest presentations.

Topic:  Ergonomic Essentials

10 am – 12:00 pm (CST)

Ergonomic injury is the highest single cause of injury, and injury costs. Typical types of injuries include back, shoulder and repetitive strain injuries. Most of these injuries can be reduced and prevented by optimizing the interaction between workers and the work they are performing.

Topic:  Mental Health & Well-Being

1 – 2 pm (CST)

Mental health affects everything in a person’s life, including relationships, success in school, and even physical health. Anxiety, stress and change are a normal part of life that everyone faces, but how individuals deal with them can have a big impact on their mental health.  Join us for this health curriculum-aligned presentation for grade 7 and 8 students.

Topic:  The Respectful Workplace

10 – 10:45 am (CST)

Our work environment and how we interact with the people there directly affects our mental health and safety. A respectful workplace is one in which everyone’s health and safety is the highest priority. A respectful workplace is everyone’s responsibility.

Webinar Testimonials:

“The ‘Your Safety Committee and the Law’ webinar series offered by Service Hospitality was outstanding! We coordinated a private session for a group of employees to learn together — it was absolutely perfect! The training was well organized and the facilitators were professional, knowledgeable and highly engaged; moreover, it was evident that Service Hospitality took the necessary time to carefully develop a professional training package. Online learning can be tough; this training kept everyone engaged in learning the whole time! Most importantly, it was relevant and customized to meet our unique needs.”

-Michael Lavis, Creative Options

Excellent organized content that builds on your knowledge and reinforces what you already know. One of the main things that impressed me about the webinar was that it was relevant to today’s workplace and very interactive, which kept me focused and engaged. The support from presenters was first-rate and was delivered at a well-paced level which allowed me to learn quickly.

-Nadia

I have done a number of different webinars, honestly, this is by far the best one I have ever done!!! Just keep doing what you are doing. Thanks for the opportunity, I have signed up for many more of your webinars.

It was excellent. The instructor was very easy to understand and did not rush through the webinar.  I found it to be very eye-opening and a reminder of how important safety is for all of us.

-Christine

One of the best online training experiences I have had.  I really don’t have any suggestions – info was clear, concise and lots of opportunities to ask questions.  Thank you!
