Psychological Health & Safety for Hospitality: Level 1

Hospitality workers face immense pressure to satisfy customers, co-workers and supervisors, with many reporting increased stress from their work. When workers learn skills to manage anxiety, addictions, stress, and other mental health challenges it can encourage a safe dialogue between employees and employers and create a supportive working environment that promotes positive wellbeing.

This course will cover:

  • Testimonials and case studies from individuals within the hospitality industry

  • Communication, coping mechanisms and supports for common mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, addictions, and harassment

  • How to notice, acknowledge and support poor mental health in ourselves and co-workers

  • Additional resources and community supports accessible to hospitality workers
