Psychological Health & Safety for Hospitality: Level 1

Hospitality workers face immense pressure to satisfy customers, co-workers, and supervisors, with many reporting increased stress from their work. When workers feel safe discussing psychological health and safety challenges in the workplace, it encourages open dialogue between employees and employers and creates a supportive working environment that promotes positive well-being.

This course will cover:

  • Testimonials and case studies from individuals within the hospitality industry

  • Communication, coping mechanisms and support for common mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, addictions, and harassment

  • How to notice, acknowledge and support poor mental health in ourselves and co-workers

  • Additional resources and community supports accessible to hospitality workers
