Safety & Health Week 2021!

One of the most important aspects of Safety and Health Week is awareness. We want every workplace and community to have a hand in making Safety and Health Week a success. The goal of Safety and Health Week is to focus employers, employees, partners and the public on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home and in the community.

This year, Service Hospitality has some exciting plans during the week of May 2nd to May 8th. Ways we are supporting Safety and Health Week this year are:

1.      Promoting and highlighting our key services through our social media channels using #SafetyandHealthWeek from May 3rd to 9th (stay tuned)!

2.      We will have SIX prize baskets up for grabs for any individual who participates in our Website Scavenger Hunt! Find the hidden words that create a safety slogan and learn about important safety topics along the way! Hunt for the hidden words on ServiceHospitality.com pages and unscramble them for an important safety message! Send your safety slogan to [email protected] before Friday, May 7th at 5 pm for a chance to win!

3.      Join us on Tuesday, May 4th for our Jump starting your OH&S Committee webinars! We have two time slots to choose from, CLICK HERE for more information and to register!

Presented by  Service Hospitality Safety Advisors: Brelyn Klotz and Shikara Dyck

Safety and Health Week is an annual occupational health and safety celebration that focuses on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace and raises understanding and awareness of safety and health issues.

Your OH&S Committee plays a critical role in bringing awareness of health and safety issues and preventing injuries in your workplace! A well-run committee can have a HUGE impact on your worker’s health and safety!

Are your Committee meetings more of a “because we have to” instead of a “because it makes a difference”? Is your committee struggling to understand what their role is in the workplace, or what activities they should be participating in?

Join us on Tuesday, May 4th at 10:00 am or 1:00 pm as we discuss tips to help your OH&S Committee run effectively and truly make a difference in the health and safety culture of your workplace!
