Supporting Safe and Respectful Workplaces
Supporting Safe and Respectful Workplaces
Creating a respectful, safe workplace doesn’t happen by accident. It requires clear expectations, consistent leadership, and the confidence to address issues the moment they arise.
To continue to help support our members, we are proud to partner with Enough Already, a Saskatchewan-based organization focused on sexual harassment prevention and creating safer, more respectful workplaces. This partnership is about more than training. It provides practical tools, clear guidance, and real-world support that reflects the realities of community service and hospitality work.
The foundation of our partnership is the Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace in Community Service and Hospitality training. This course is designed specifically for our high-risk industries and aligns with Saskatchewan’s current legal requirements.
The training helps participants:
- Understand what sexual harassment is under The Saskatchewan Employment Act and The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code
- Recognize how harassment can occur in customer-facing and third-party situations
- Understand the rights and responsibilities of workers, supervisors, and employers
- Learn how concerns should be raised and addressed appropriately
The focus is practical and realistic, using scenarios that reflect the day-to-day experiences of community service and hospitality workers.
Alongside this training, Enough Already offers a range of additional learning and support opportunities that strengthen workplace safety at every level.
These include:
- Supervisor and manager sexual harassment training, focused on leadership responsibilities, responding to reports of harassment, and preventing retaliation
- Bystander intervention training for employees, which helps workers recognize inappropriate behaviour and safely intervene or seek support
- Workshops on sexual harassment legislation and policy compliance, including Saskatchewan’s 2024 requirements
This partnership gives Service Hospitality members access to training and resources that are tailored to the realities of their work. Most importantly, this collaboration reflects a shared commitment to dignity, safety, and respect. Our goal is to ensure members know their rights, feel supported, and can work in environments where harassment is taken seriously and addressed appropriately.
Join Enough Already on May 11, 2026, for a full-day leadership event focused on practical, solutions-oriented conversations about workplace culture, accountability, and prevention.
Setting the Leadership Standard: Work Culture as a Managed Asset will bring together leaders from across Saskatchewan to explore how strong workplace cultures can be intentionally built, supported, and sustained.
