Celebrating Community Leadership: Thomas Circle of Care & SaskAbilities
Service Hospitality is proud to recognize the remarkable achievements of two of our valued partners – Thomas Circle of Care and SaskAbilities – whose work strengthens families, supports inclusion, and builds stronger communities across Saskatchewan.
The Government of Saskatchewan recently announced that Thomas Circle of Care will operate a new community respite program in Regina, providing short-term emergency care for children under 12 and helping families manage crises with safety and stability. This initiative will offer a nurturing environment for children while connecting families to community resources to support long-term success. The program is expected to open in January 2026.
The New SaskAbilities Day
At the same time, the province proclaimed December 2, 2025 as SaskAbilities Day in recognition of SaskAbilities’ 75 years of service supporting individuals with disabilities and helping build inclusive communities. From its beginnings in 1950, SaskAbilities has grown into a province-wide organization supporting more than 50,000 individuals and families annually through employment, rehabilitation, and quality-of-life programs.
Service Hospitality cares deeply about these achievements because strong community supports – whether providing emergency respite care or fostering inclusion for people of all abilities – align with our mission to help create healthy, respectful, and resilient environments for workers and families alike. Programs like these contribute to greater stability for families and individuals, which in turn supports thriving workplaces and stronger local economies.
We celebrate the leadership and dedication of Thomas Circle of Care and SaskAbilities, and we encourage our members to take pride in these community successes. Their work exemplifies the power of collaboration; when we support one another, we build a Saskatchewan where everyone can flourish!
