“Creating Bright Futures with Safety at the Core!”
Did you know? Young and new workers are the most at risk for injury on the job. Each year in Saskatchewan, approximately 3,200 youth under 25 are injured on the job, and an average of two die yearly from workplace incidents. (According to SK WCB stats in 2021).
Through Service Hospitality’s Future Worker Roadmap, we aim to equip young people and new workers with the tools they need to make informed decisions when faced with danger and unpredictability. As youth transition to unfamiliar settings like the workplace, they may lack the experience to identify hazards and may feel uncomfortable seeking help if they feel unsafe.
To help foster a health and safety mindset before they start working, Service Hospitality developed the On-Demand Classroom Presentations designed to educate on specific safety knowledge, skills, and understanding. Our presentations are SK curriculum-aligned and presented by Service Hospitality Safety Advisors in a fun, engaging, and educational way about safety at home, at school, in the community, and online!

Future Workers: Prioritizing Physical and Psychological Safety in High School
Safety education is a lifelong journey that extends well beyond the elementary classroom. As our future workers progress into high school, the emphasis on workplace safety becomes more crucial, particularly in physical and psychological health.
High school students are at a pivotal stage, facing new challenges in their personal lives as they prepare to enter the workforce. Our safety programs (created by Service Hospitality and our partners) are designed to address these challenges head-on, offering comprehensive resources that focus on physical safety and psychological well-being.
Service Hospitality’s vision is to create a balanced approach by prioritizing physical and psychological health that ensures high school students are fully prepared for the future. Together, we are laying the groundwork for a safer, healthier generation of future workers ready to take on the world with confidence and resilience.
